Downhills
The most important thing to remember when riding downhills is don’t look just in front of your tire; try to scan the terrain as far ahead of you as possible. Other points to remember about downhills:
- There isn't much room for braking errors when going downhill.
- Stand up with your elbows up and use smooth braking and corrections.
- Use all the available terrain. Sometimes even an inch or two of grass or dirt can be used as a berm.
- Stay loose on the bike and don’t stare at obstacles because you will ride straight into them!
- Don’t lock up the brakes, instead use the motor to reduce speed.
Good riding and don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail for more information and techniques!
