Drowning the Bike
Actually, there is no instruction required for drowning a bike. Simply dunk it in the nearest body of water. What to do after that is a little more involved. That's what we'll talk about this month.
After drowning the bike:
- Remove the air filter and squeeze it dry.
- Remove the spark plug.
- Turn the bike upside down, leaving it pointing upwards for a moment to let the water drain from the exhaust.
- Kick the bike to force the water from the spark plug hole.
- Install a new spark plug or dry the used one and put it back.
- Kick the bike until it starts. If necessary tow or push it.
- Once the bike starts, warm it up.
- Kill the engine and re-install the air filter.
- Ready to ride again!
Good riding and don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail for more information and techniques!
